Our client is a major enterprise seeking to strengthen its document composition and customer communications management (CCM) capabilities. This role is pivotal in supporting and enhancing Smartcomm-based solutions for business-critical applications.
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Smartcomm-Thunderhead Specialist to join a collaborative team supporting and developing CCM solutions. You’ll play a key role in providing BAU (business as usual) support, driving technical improvements, and ensuring robust document composition processes in a dynamic enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and provide BAU LO support for in-scope Smartcomm applications, ensuring accountability for incident, request, and problem ticket resolution.
- Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) for incidents, requests, and problem tickets.
- Coordinate with business and leads for disaster recovery (DR) testing, infrastructure/software upgrades, patching, daily health checks, and remediation activities.
- Work on small compulsory changes, including impact analysis, coding, business verification, and promotion to production and non-production environments.
- Collaborate with tech leads and IM for project handover to BAU support, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Work closely with integrated upstream and downstream systems for root cause analysis.
- Participate in major incident management (MIM) calls for P1/P2 incidents, aiming for timely resolution and tracking root cause analysis for permanent fixes.
- Manage stakeholder communications and coach/mentor peers.
- Support leads in prioritising small changes and technical debt.
- 7+ years’ experience with Smartcomm, including development and support.
- Strong CCM background with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Smartcomm Suites of Products from both development and support perspectives.
- Hands-on experience with Smartcomm code deployment, template authoring, graphical elements, layouts, stylesets, variable data, and XML data schema mapping.
- Experience with Oracle and DB2 databases.
- Familiarity with Control-M job scheduling.
- Insurance industry experience preferred.
- Document composition background or interest.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, and related tools.
This is a contract role based in Melbourne, with a duration of 6+ months and immediate start available. You’ll play a key role in delivering robust, secure, and compliant CCM solutions in a dynamic, high-impact environment.
