About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Storage Infrastructure Specialist for a three-month contract to optimise a large-scale Dell PowerScale and Isilon storage environment. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability across a critical infrastructure platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting a comprehensive technical audit of the storage environment
- Producing architecture diagrams and operational runbooks
- Forecasting capacity and growth with strategic recommendations
- Optimising PowerScale data services and resolving performance bottlenecks
- Delivering structured knowledge transfer sessions to internal ICT staff
The Successful Candidate
You are a seasoned storage infrastructure expert with:
- Proven experience in enterprise-scale Dell PowerScale and Isilon environments (OneFS 8.x/9.x)
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Deep understanding of scale-out NAS architecture, storage tiering, and data services
- Ability to troubleshoot complex multi-protocol (SMB/NFS) systems
- Knowledge of storage security, data protection, and lifecycle management
- Scripting skills (Python/Bash) for automation and analysis are highly desirable
