About the Role
As an Agile Scrum Master, you will play a key role in enabling high-performing delivery teams to successfully deliver complex ICT projects and business outcomes. You will be responsible for embedding Agile principles, facilitating collaboration across teams, and driving continuous improvement throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Working closely with Product Owners, technical specialists, project teams, and stakeholders, you will facilitate Agile ceremonies, monitor delivery performance, manage risks and dependencies, and help create an environment where teams can perform at their best.
Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
- Supporting and coaching Agile delivery teams to improve ways of working and delivery maturity.
- Working with stakeholders to align priorities, manage expectations, and support successful outcomes.
- Identifying and removing delivery impediments while managing risks and dependencies.
- Tracking and communicating Agile delivery metrics and performance indicators.
- Preparing reporting and updates for governance forums and key stakeholders.
- Promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Scrum Master with a strong track record of leading Agile delivery teams in complex ICT environments. You will be a confident communicator who can build trusted relationships across technical and business stakeholders while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
You will possess strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to guide teams through challenges and drive continuous improvement. A proactive approach, combined with strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for Agile delivery, will be key to your success in this role.
Key experience includes:
- Demonstrated experience leading Agile delivery teams and delivering successful business outcomes.
- Strong understanding and practical application of Scrum and Agile methodologies.
- Experience coaching individuals, teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile practices.
- Ability to build productive stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes across various levels of an organisation.
- Experience identifying and managing risks, dependencies, and delivery impediments.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery tools, metrics, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Experience working within complex enterprise or government ICT environments.
Candidates must also be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus 2x 12 month extensions
Experience Level: APS5 Equivalent
Security Requirements: Candidates must hold an active or reactivatable Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Security Clearance on submission. Our client is not looking to upgrade an existing clearance for this position. An OSA(Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.
