Compliance Officers – APS5 & APS6:

Working within the compliance stream, you will review financial information and disclosures, undertake compliance assessments and support the administration of election funding in accordance with legislative and procedural requirements.
Depending on your level, responsibilities may include:
- Reviewing financial disclosure returns for accuracy, completeness and legislative compliance.
- Assessing claims for election funding and undertaking associated compliance reviews and enquiries.
- Analysing financial and other information to identify potential issues, anomalies and areas of non-compliance.
- Supporting the accurate processing and administration of election funding.
- Contributing to risk-based compliance activities and strategies.
- Preparing clear, accurate advice, reports and correspondence.
- At APS6 level, independently managing more complex compliance matters and providing guidance and support to junior staff.
Investigations Officers – APS5 & APS6

Working within the investigations stream, you will support or undertake investigations into potential non-compliance with relevant legislation, using information, data and intelligence to identify risks and support regulatory action.
Depending on your level, responsibilities may include:
- Gathering, reviewing and analysing documents, financial information and other evidence.
- Supporting or conducting risk-based investigations into potential contraventions.
- Using data and intelligence to identify patterns, high-risk behaviours, entities and potential schemes.
- Identifying gaps, inconsistencies and potential areas of non-compliance.
- Preparing high-quality briefs, reports, correspondence and advice for decision-makers.
- Contributing to targeted compliance and enforcement strategies.
- At APS6 level, managing investigations with greater autonomy and providing guidance and support to junior staff.
Non - Ongoing APS Contract - Initial 12 Month with 1 x 6 months extension option
Security Required: Baseline Security Clearance required
Location - Canberra, Hybrid- Candidates may be permitted to work remotely up to 2-days per week.
