About the Role
We are seeking experienced Automation Testers to support the delivery of multiple ICT projects across a large and diverse digital environment. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of automated and manual testing practices.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high‑impact digital solutions using agile and traditional delivery methodologies while engaging closely with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Creating and maintaining test plans, test strategies, and test cases
  • Writing, reviewing, and executing automated and manual tests for web‑based applications
  • Managing and prioritising testing activities across concurrent initiatives
  • Logging, tracking, and managing defects using tools such as Azure DevOps
  • Supporting and influencing automation testing practices and testing strategy
  • Testing digital solutions for conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
  • Leading and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
  • Collaborating closely with delivery teams including Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Architects
The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring strong automation testing expertise and thrive in fast‑paced delivery environments. You will have:
Essential experience and skills:
  • Proven experience in automation testing and application/system testing roles
  • Strong capability in developing, reviewing, and executing complex test artefacts and test strategies
  • Experience working effectively in cross‑functional, agile delivery teams
  • Ability to operate in fast‑moving environments with dispersed stakeholders
  • Sound knowledge of testing for WCAG accessibility compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage non‑technical stakeholders
Desirable experience:
  • Experience testing custom applications within Microsoft and Azure environments
  • Hands‑on use of Azure DevOps for test planning, execution, and defect management
  • Experience guiding and coordinating User Acceptance Testing activities

Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus 2x 12 month extensions at our clients discretion.
Experience Level: Senior – APS6 Equivalent
Security Requirements: Must be an Australian Citizens with an active Baseline or higher security clearance.
