The Role:
As a developer, you will write and maintain code for AWS cloud native, working closely with your team and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
You will participate in code reviews, design solutions, implement new features, and optimise performance. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining documentation, providing expert advice, troubleshooting and fixing bugs, ensuring security, testing software, deploying applications, providing technical support, participating in agile processes, mentoring others, and completing other tasks as set by your scrum master or team leader.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Demonstrated experience developing and supporting solutions on AWS with strong knowledge of core AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC)
• Experience in Linux operating system
• Understanding of automated deployment tools (CDK, teraform, ansible)
• Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis to diagnose and resolve complex application and infrastructure issues.
• Experience working in agile delivery environments bridging cloud expertise and application expertise.
Desirable:
• Experience in OpenSearch and/or ElasticSearch
• Experience with security in Australian Government or other highly regulated environments
Location and Contract Term: This role is based in Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options pending budget and delegate approval.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a NV1 security clearance
