🔹 Baseline clearance required, NV1 preferred Join a major government program where you will design, govern, and lead the development of a large‑scale Azure cloud environment. This role suits a senior Azure architect who enjoys setting direction, shaping platforms, and guiding engineering teams across a complex enterprise landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead architecture, design, and roadmap development for Azure platforms
- Define and manage landing zones, governance patterns, and reference architectures
- Provide expert guidance across identity, networking, security, automation, monitoring, DR and operations
- Lead architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise and security standards
- Develop reusable IaC patterns and automation frameworks
- Translate business and technical needs into secure, scalable Azure solutions
- Support cloud strategy, adoption, and maturity uplift initiatives
- Mentor engineers and contribute to enterprise architecture artefacts
- Extensive experience as an Azure Architect or Cloud Platform Architect in complex enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of Azure landing zones, governance, RBAC, policies and guardrails
- Deep expertise in Azure networking, identity (Entra ID), security, monitoring and DevOps
- Proven experience delivering cloud‑native and hybrid workloads
- Proficient with IaC, ideally Terraform, Bicep or ARM
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability
- Australian citizenship and AGSVA Baseline clearance required
- NV1 clearance preferred
- Multi‑cloud or hybrid cloud exposure
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimisation practices
- Experience with platform engineering or container platforms
- Azure Architect Expert certification
