About the Role:
We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong Energy & Utilities experience, preferably with exposure to data platforms, machine learning, and energy / demand forecasting. This role is business-focused: you will shape business outcomes, translate them into clear requirements, and define the features needed to deliver value across forecasting and energy-operations domains.
Responsibilities:
- Work with business stakeholders to define desired business outcomes across finance, energy transition, asset management, and grid planning.
- Translate outcomes into high-level requirements, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate workshops to align personas, use cases, value drivers, and operational needs.
- Analyse current-state processes and identify gaps or opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers and gris engineers to define data needs and validate model outputs against business expectations.
- Support solution design for forecasting systems, data platforms, and analytic products.
- Ensure traceability between outcomes → requirements → features → delivered value.
- Contribute to business cases, prioritisation decisions, and delivery planning.
- 5+ years BA experience in Energy & Utilities.
- Strong business-focused mindset with ability to link outcomes to requirements.
- Understanding of energy & utilities, energy transition, electricity network operations and grid operations.
- Experience working with data/analytics or ML-enabled products.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
