About the role:
The Business Analyst leads the gathering and analysis of business and technical requirements to ensure business problems are thoroughly understood, proposed solutions are fit for purpose and human-centered, and to support decision making and planning for initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver high quality stakeholder-informed business analytics, research, insights, and reporting, with consideration for relevant business rules, processes, procedures, and service guidelines.
- Define people, process, and technology business requirements to ensure that initiatives deliver intended business outcomes.
- Assist project managers and business with cost-benefit analysis and prioritisation.
- Assist with the development of business cases, financial models and budget submissions to secure timely funding for projects.
- Prepare quality reports and presentations for use by the management and stakeholders.
- Establish relationships with stakeholders in an industrially complex environment to develop trust and ensure reliable and accurate information.
- Distill business needs to identify fit-for-purpose solutions in an operationally complex environment.
- Complex technical environment with legacy systems, limited enterprise-wide systems concurrently undergoing significant change.
- Qualification in a tertiary field of study with core knowledge relating to business analysis, statistics, or methods.
- Demonstrated experience as a business analyst including research, planning, development of functional and technical specifications and business case, and data analysis methodologies in a complex operational environment.
- Demonstrated experience in project lifecycles, problem solving, and human-centered approaches.
This contract is available for an initial 6-month term.
Located in Sydney, NSW - this role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
