An opportunity exists for a C/ C++ Programmer with strong experience in legacy application support and system optimisation. You’ll be responsible for maintaining mainframe-hosted applications, resolving incidents, and contributing to system improvements in a 24/7 support environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimise legacy C/C++ applications on mainframe/Solaris platforms.
- Conduct testing and provide end-user support for legacy systems.
- Perform in-depth analysis and resolution of problem tickets.
- Monitor system performance and tune applications for stability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and provide technical guidance.
- Support operational alerting, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in Agile practices including JIRA, Confluence, and Kanban.
Required Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in C/C++ development.
- Strong understanding of mainframe environments and middleware.
- Experience with XML/XSLT and batch processing technologies.
- Familiarity with automation using REXX.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and practices.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Australian Citizenship.
- AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
