Our Federal Government client is currently seeking Cloud Infrastructure Engineers to join their team in the ACT.

Our client is a large Federal Government organisation responsible for delivering critical national capabilities through advanced technology, cyber security and intelligence services. They operate within a highly secure environment and support projects of national significance.

About the Role
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and enhancing enterprise cloud infrastructure environments. You will work closely with technical teams, product owners and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions that align with organisational and security requirements.

Role Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable cloud solutions that meet complex technical and business requirements.
  • Optimise cloud environments to improve security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to implement cloud security controls and compliance requirements.
  • Deploy and integrate Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions across multi-cloud environments.
  • Architect and deploy proof-of-concept solutions to evaluate emerging security technologies.
  • Engage with cloud vendors and stakeholders to validate solution architectures and technical approaches.
  • Manage and maintain enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, networking, compute, and storage services.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, automation scripts, and CI/CD integrations.
What You Will Bring
  • Demonstrated experience deploying and maintaining enterprise cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Strong experience with cloud networking, compute, storage, and cloud-native services.
  • Extensive experience implementing cloud security controls and aligning solutions with government security frameworks and best practices.
  • Proven ability to translate business and technical requirements into secure cloud solution designs.
  • Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and operational scripting.
  • Experience integrating automation and security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

  • Initial 12-month contract.
  • Up to two additional 12-month extension options.

Security Requirements To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current NV1 Security Clearance. The successful candidate will need to undergo an additional security assessment before commencing in the role.
