About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Productisation Specialist to join a major government program delivering secure, scalable cloud platforms across Australia.
This role is ideal for a cloud professional who enjoys building repeatable, standardised cloud platforms and productised services that enable faster, safer adoption of AWS and Azure at scale.
You will be responsible for designing, building, and managing cloud platform capabilities, with a strong focus on service catalogues, reusable infrastructure-as-code (IaC), guardrails, and onboarding frameworks. Working within a highly regulated environment, you’ll help uplift cloud maturity and enable secure consumption of cloud services across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud platforms supporting applications, databases, and storage
- Develop cloud product catalogues, reusable IaC modules, guardrails, and onboarding documentation
- Support cloud migration initiatives and optimisation of existing cloud environments
- Monitor and optimise cloud infrastructure to ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to align platform solutions with business strategy
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across cloud platform services
- Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation
- Proven experience as a Cloud Specialist, Cloud Engineer, or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms
- Deep understanding of cloud architectures, services, and best practices
- Experience delivering cloud migration strategies
- Solid knowledge of networking and cloud security principles
- Experience with automation tools and scripting
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Highly Desirable
- 5–10+ years’ experience delivering cloud platform product catalogues and reusable cloud services
- Strong knowledge of AWS and Azure IaaS services
- Understanding of ITIL processes (incident, change, problem, configuration management)
- AWS and/or Azure Solution Architect certification
- Experience working in government or highly regulated environments
Mandatory Requirements:
Candidates must be an Australian Citizen with an active AGSVA Baseline clearance. NV1 (or ability to obtain) is preferred.
