About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Contracts Manager to support the ongoing management of critical category contracts within the Defence Maritime domain. You will oversee existing supply chain arrangements, ensuring value, compliance, and consistent performance across complex procurement activities. This role is ideal for a senior commercial or contract professional with deep Defence experience and strong stakeholder engagement capability.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage extant category contracts and maintain ongoing commercial governance.
  • Lead supplier and Commonwealth stakeholder engagement, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Review, monitor, and report on contract performance metrics.
  • Prepare and process Contract Change Proposals (CCPs), including price adjustments and obsolescence management.
  • Oversee historical initial order management and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Conduct compliance reviews and ensure full adherence to Defence contractual obligations.
  • Provide expert advice on contract governance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
  • Support uplift initiatives within category contract management frameworks.

Essential Requirements

  • Advanced supply chain knowledge with extensive experience in Defence procurement.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years’ Defence contract management experience.
  • Demonstrated ASDEFCON experience.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining category contracts.
  • Experience with SAP ERP Contract Management and Purchasing.
  • Baseline security clearance (mandatory).
