An exciting opportunity for a Cost & Finance Analyst to support a major Defence capability program within the Collaborative and Autonomous Systems Project Office (CASPO). This role will see you working across complex project activities, providing critical financial forecasting, cost modelling, estimation, and commercial analysis to support long-term investment and program delivery outcomes. Working within a collaborative Defence and industry environment, you will provide trusted financial insights and help drive informed decision-making across a high-profile autonomous systems capability program.  

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support financial management activities, including project forecasting, cost estimation, and cost modelling.
  • Analyse cost drivers, trends, and variances to provide actionable financial insights.
  • Provide financial and commercial advice to project teams, leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to procurement and tender-related financial analysis activities.
  • Support compliance with Defence financial frameworks, governance requirements, and reporting standards.
  • Improve financial management tools, reporting capability, and business processes.
  • Assist with project support and delivery activities across the broader enterprise.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years' experience in cost estimation, financial modelling, forecasting, or project controls.
  • Experience working within Defence, government, or other complex project environments.
  • Strong understanding of Defence financial management and procurement processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis.
  • Exposure to Power BI or other business intelligence and reporting tools is highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and data integrity.
