About the role:

The Data Customer Insights Lead is a senior role responsible for shaping and delivering a trusted, governed, and insight‑driven customer data capability across the organisation. The role sits at the intersection of data, technology, and business, ensuring customer data is unified, high quality, and actionable to support operational, regulatory, and customer experience outcomes.

This role leads the design and management of customer data models, master data, and governance frameworks while enabling advanced analytics and customer engagement through modern Microsoft data platforms. Acting as a strategic partner to business leaders, architects, and delivery teams, the Data Customer Insights Lead translates complex business needs into scalable data solutions and clear value propositions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dataverse Customer Data Modelling – Designed and governed scalable Dataverse customer data models to support a unified, enterprise‑wide view of customers across platforms.
  • Data Quality and Remediation – Established data quality frameworks and led remediation initiatives to address accuracy, completeness, and consistency issues in customer data.
  • Customer Insights (Data and Journeys) – Led the delivery of Customer Insights Data and Journeys to enable unified customer profiles and data‑driven, personalised engagement.
  • Data Governance and Stewardship – Defined customer data governance standards and acted as senior data steward to ensure clear ownership, compliance, and data trust.
  • MDM and Golden Record – Implemented master data management practices to create and maintain a trusted customer golden record across multiple source systems.
  • Fabric / Synapse / Purview – Oversaw customer data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Synapse, with Purview for cataloguing, compliance, and data discoverability.
  • Data Profiling and Lineage – Conducted data profiling and maintained end‑to‑end lineage to improve transparency, impact analysis, and confidence in customer data assets.
  • Business Case Translation – Translated complex customer data initiatives into clear business cases aligned to strategic outcomes and measurable value.
