Operating under limited direction, you will provide expert guidance across cyberworthiness, compliance, and protective security, contributing directly to the delivery of advanced capability outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of cyber security assurance artefacts, including Cyberworthiness Plans and Security Compliance Reports
- Support cyber security accreditation activities for airborne, ground, software, and classified systems
- Develop and manage protective security documentation such as Program Protection Plans, Security Categorisation and Classification Guides, Supply Chain Security Risk Management Plans, Program Security Orders, and Vendor Risk Assessments
- Coordinate and contribute to security governance forums, including Security Working Groups, Crypto Working Groups, and program protection forums
- Provide cyber and protective security support aligned with approved project and product plans, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met
- Assess, manage, and clearly communicate security risks related to system delivery, suppliers, and contractual obligations
- Build strong working relationships with technical, operational, and senior stakeholders across Defence and industry
- NV-2 security clearance is mandatory
- 3 to 5+ years’ experience in cyber security, ideally within Defence or Government environments
- Demonstrated experience supporting security accreditation and assurance of complex systems
- RAP Assessor accreditation or strong experience conducting ISM‑aligned assessments
- Solid understanding of Defence security frameworks, governance, and assurance processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief risk and strategy at all levels
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a dynamic, high‑assurance environment
- Work onsite with Defence on a high‑profile program
- Play a critical role in cyber and protective security assurance activities
- Long‑term contract through to June 2026
