About the role
As the Cyber Security Specialist you will work under limited direction to perform and achieve moderately complex tasks within an integrated workforce. You will liaise with stakeholders of all levels, building good working relationships and providing a point of contact for all operations enquiries.
for cyber security functions across the Systems Program Office, including event monitoring, incident handling, vulnerability management, supply chain risk assessment and cyber security education/training.
Role Responsibilities
- Being accountable for system security services requiring a combination of technical security and governance expertise.
- Provide expert advice to the leadership and project teams in regard to cyber, information security and technical, professional and policy advice.
- Responsible for conducting security certification and accreditation activities for selected ICT systems
- Responsible for conducting capability and concept development in context with technical security
- Identification, analysis and management of security requirements of specified ICT Systems
- Conduct of ICT systems security planning, design, implementation and Verification and Validation (V&V)
- Responsible for providing ICT System Security SME advice on security policy, procedures and
governance, specific to projects - Assistance with the research, development and implementation of ICT security policy plans and procedures
- Bachelor’s degree - Cyber and/or Security Specialisation
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in Cybersecurity consulting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current NV2 Security Clearance.
