About the Role
The Security Operations Manager will support the ongoing operation, maintenance and improvement of a highly secure, stand‑alone network environment. Working under the direction of senior solutions and security leads, the role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, confidentiality and availability of systems through strong security operations, governance and incident management.

This role is well suited to professionals with strong Defence or government experience who are comfortable operating in restricted environments with high compliance expectations.

Role Responsibilities
  • Administer, monitor and maintain security and cyber security applications within a secure network
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and system build documentation
  • Assist with the development and upkeep of project‑related security documentation
  • Investigate identified security incidents and breaches, ensuring remediation actions are implemented
  • Maintain accurate and complete security records in line with policy and compliance requirements
  • Respond to security and operational support requests in accordance with defined standards and procedures
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, standards and governance artefacts
  • Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary technical and project teams in an agile delivery environment
  • Maintain and develop technical expertise across relevant network and security technologies
Qualifications and Experience
  • 5–10+ years’ experience in security operations, network security or cyber security roles
  • Demonstrated experience supporting secure or restricted network environments
  • Hands‑on experience administering security applications in enterprise networks
  • Defence and/or Federal Government environment experience highly regarded
  • Strong written documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in structured, compliance‑driven environments
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving security requirements
