About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with experience developing and delivering AI/ML and advanced analytic solutions to exploit the Department’s data holdings in support of business requirements. The role will need to be current with emerging data-science and machine-learning technologies, including the necessary skills to develop computer vision models for a range of targets and imagery types.
Role Responsibilities
- Evaluation of the need for analytics, assessment of the problems to be solved, and what internal or external data sources to use or acquire.
- Specification and application of appropriate mathematical, statistical, predictive modelling or machine –learning techniques to analyse data, generate insights, create value and support decision-making.
- Undertake technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of analytic development, including the planning, delivery and communication of analytic methods, tools and techniques.

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current TSPV Security Clearance. The successful candidate will need to undergo an additional security assessment before commencing in the role.
