About the End Client

The end client is a large enterprise organisation operating critical data and reporting systems within a regulated environment. This role supports data‑driven applications, batch processing pipelines, and governance‑led delivery within cross‑functional squads.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Developer to support the development, testing, and ongoing support of data‑driven applications and batch processes. You will work across SQL‑based components and modern data platforms, ensuring delivery aligns with established change management, quality assurance, and engineering standards.

This role is ideal for a developer with 2–4 years’ experience looking to build depth in enterprise data engineering and regulated delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and support applications in line with change management, problem management, and quality assurance processes.
  • Build and maintain SQL‑based components, including stored procedures, ETL pipelines, and batch jobs.
  • Develop SQL‑based data processes and ETL components using tools such as SSIS, JEF, or Control‑M.
  • Prepare and maintain system and program documentation.
  • Assist in the analysis and design of application programs and databases.
  • Troubleshoot application logic, batch failures, and data inconsistencies.
  • Perform or support SIT, UAT, and regression testing for application releases.
  • Liaise effectively with business users, engineering teams, and QA.
  • Adhere to enterprise methodologies, governance frameworks, and delivery standards.
  • Support both development and testing activities as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering quality initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–4 years’ experience in programming or data‑driven application development.
  • Strong SQL capability with a solid Snowflake development background.
  • Proven ability to translate design specifications into working solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across data, batch, and application logic.
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross‑functional squads and adapt to changing priorities.
Desirable Experience

  • Experience with ETL / batch orchestration tools such as SSIS, Control‑M, or JEF.
  • Experience supporting critical nightly batch processes or regulatory reporting environments.
  • Exposure to cloud‑based data engineering.
  • Python or automation scripting experience.
  • Exposure to treasury or capital markets concepts (e.g. FTP, Liquidity, IRRBB, ALM).
  • Experience applying AI tools(e.g. Copilot) within the engineering process.
