The Department is seeking a digital professional to support business process automation and reporting utilising enterprise tools. The role will work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into simple, effective digital solutions.
The work is generally low to medium complexity, focused on configuration, automation, and continuous improvement rather than custom development or system integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with business users to:
- Understand current processes and pain points
- Gather and document functional requirements
- Recommend practical digital solutions using enterprise tools
- Design, build, and maintain business automation solutions using tools such as:
- SharePoint Online
- Power Automate
- Power Apps
- Power BI
- Manage backlog and implement improvements to existing digital solutions and workflows.
- Ensure solutions follow organisational standards and are easy for users to adopt.
- Provide user training, basic user support, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams where required.
Essential:
- Practical experience with Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Online/Microsoft Power Platform.
- Understanding of basic data modelling and reporting concepts.
- Ability to work directly with non-technical users and translate business needs into digital solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience in government environments
- Experience with information management, and information security
Security Required: NV1 security Clearance required
Location- Canberra based
