About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an Interoperability (iPaaS) Specialist to lead strategic planning and delivery of enterprise cloud integration capability. The role involves designing integration roadmaps, shaping platform governance, guiding technology decisions, and ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements.
This is a long‑term contract role, contributing to major transformation initiatives across Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop enterprise integration and interoperability strategies aligned with cloud and digital roadmaps.
• Lead the assessment and selection of iPaaS platforms, API management solutions, and cloud integration technologies.
• Provide expertise in integration patterns, service design, event-driven architecture, microservices, and data exchange standards.
• Shape platform integration governance, reusable frameworks, and reference architectures.
• Partner with enterprise architects, cyber security teams, and solution designers to ensure consistent platform integration.
• Translate business needs into capability requirements for scalability, resilience, compliance, and cost optimisation.
• Prepare options papers, technical recommendations, and interoperability risk assessments for major programs.
• Develop cloud transition plans, migration strategies, and operating models for integration capability uplift.
• Build strong relationships across business units, vendors, and technical teams to support shared standards.
• Provide thought leadership on cloud integration trends, interoperability frameworks, and industry best practice.
• Contribute to procurement, business case development, and benefit‑realisation planning.
• Mentor teams to uplift capability in API-led and iPaaS-centred integration.
- Strong experience in cloud platform strategy and enterprise integration architecture.
• Deep knowledge of iPaaS technologies, API management, event-driven integration, and microservices.
• Experience producing strategic artefacts such as roadmaps, governance models, and reference architectures.
• Background working in complex environments with legacy systems and multi‑cloud adoption.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement with the ability to communicate technical concepts to senior and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience supporting business cases, procurement processes, and options analyses.
• Familiarity with Australian Government interoperability standards, security controls, and data-exchange policies (where applicable).
• Demonstrated leadership in guiding cross‑functional teams across integration and cloud‑platform initiatives.
• Australian Citizenship and AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance required; NV1 preferred.
