About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (EL1 equivalent) to support delivery within a major digital transformation program.
Working within a Project Management Office (PMO), you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of assigned work packages, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to strategic objectives.
This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, governance expertise, and the ability to coordinate across technical teams, system integrators, and multiple government stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery including planning, scheduling, and tracking
- Develop and maintain key project artefacts (project plans, RAID logs, dependency registers, milestones)
- Coordinate governance and reporting, including status reports, briefings, and committee papers
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests
- Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams
- Support testing readiness, release planning, and delivery coordination
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
- Engage and manage relationships across internal teams, partner agencies, and vendors
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with governance frameworks
- Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO practices and delivery processes
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects, ideally within digital or government environments
- Strong knowledge of project governance, reporting, and PMO frameworks
- Proven ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working with ICT delivery teams and/or system integrators
- Knowledge of project methodologies such as PRINCE2 and/or Agile
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
- Long-term contract through to mid-2027 with extension options
