The organisation’s Digital, Data and Technology function leads large-scale ICT strategy, cyber security, and innovation initiatives, ensuring alignment across government and enabling high-quality, citizen-focused services.
About the Role
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Enterprise Architect to play a pivotal role in a major digital transformation journey.
Reporting to executive leadership, you will drive the development of enterprise-wide architecture strategy, translating business priorities into a sustainable and future-focused technology operating model.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development of enterprise architecture frameworks across Business, Data, Applications, Infrastructure, Security, and Integration
- Shaping and delivering a whole-of-organisation technology roadmap aligned to strategic objectives
- Driving reuse of platforms, systems, and capabilities to maximise value from technology investments
- Providing high-level architectural guidance to executive stakeholders and design authorities
- Assessing emerging technologies and market trends to inform future direction
- Building strong relationships across senior stakeholders to uplift enterprise-wide digital capability
The Successful Candidate
We’re looking for a strategic thinker and influential leader with deep expertise in enterprise architecture within complex environments.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing enterprise architecture frameworks, principles, and roadmaps
- Strong leadership capability, with the ability to engage and influence executive and technical stakeholders
- Extensive knowledge across enterprise architecture domains and their practical application
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience translating complex technical concepts into clear strategic advice
- Proven ability to analyse complex business and technology challenges and deliver innovative, practical solutions
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus 1x 12 month extensions
Security Requirements: Must be an Australian Citizens with a minimum NV1 clearance
