ERP Data Migration Specialist

About the Role

The ERP Data Migration Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the migration of data from legacy systems into a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform. The role works closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical specialists to ensure data is accurately extracted, cleansed, transformed, validated and loaded into the target system. The specialist plays a key role in maintaining data integrity, supporting business readiness, managing migration activities across project phases, and helping to ensure a smooth transition to the new ERP environment. This role contributes to reducing implementation risks, improving data quality outcomes, and enabling the successful adoption of business processes supported by the ERP solution.
  • Data extraction from legacy systems
  • Data profiling, mapping, transformation, and migration preparation
  • Development and execution of migration scripts, load files and migration processes
  • Data quality analysis and agreed remediation activities
  • Execution of migration loads across test and production environments
  • Develop and undertake reconciliation, validation, and testing processes
  • Other duties as required to achieve data migration and archiving requirements.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Data analyst or engineering capability (Approximate SFIA DENG5 and DATM4/5)
  • ETL design and execution using Azure, SQL server, and SSIS
  • Data mapping and transformation
  • Data reconciliation and validation
  • Data quality remediation
  • Legacy system archiving and retention requirements.
  • Stakeholder engagement across business and technical teams
  • Experience in ERP migration, cutover activities, and archiving would be ideal but not essential

Location and Contract Term: This role can be based in ACT, Brisbane CBD, Melbourne CBD or Adelaide .  12 Contract  with 2 x 6 - month contract extension options pending budget and delegate approval. 

Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a NV1 security clearance.
