About the Client
Our client is a large, complex government organisation undertaking a significant, multi‑year enterprise transformation. The program will modernise core business systems through the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, replacing a legacy SAP environment.
This transformation will span critical functions such as Finance, HR, Procurement, and Travel & Expense, and is designed to uplift organisational capability, governance, and service delivery across the organisation.
Based in Canberra, the program operates within a mature governance framework and involves collaboration with senior executives, a system integrator, and multiple internal and external stakeholders.
About the Role
The Program Management Services role will support the commencement and delivery of a large‑scale ERP implementation program. This position plays a critical role in driving integrated program delivery, ensuring alignment to objectives, timelines, and governance requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating program delivery activities to achieve defined outcomes
- Developing and maintaining core program artefacts, including roadmaps, integrated plans, schedules, budgets, dependencies, risks and issues
- Overseeing day‑to‑day program activities and ensuring progress aligns with agreed plans
- Acting as a primary liaison with the system integrator, monitoring delivery against contractual commitments
- Supporting the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) and contributing to Program Board and committee reporting
- Managing risks and issues, including mitigation strategies and escalation through governance channels
- Ensuring contractual obligations are met in line with scope, deliverables and performance requirements
- Building strong working relationships with business stakeholders, technology teams, change management and executive leadership
- Producing project closure artefacts, including lessons learned and transition activities
The Successful Candidate
You will be an experienced ERP program management professional with a proven track record delivering large‑scale, complex implementations in multi‑vendor, multi‑stakeholder environments.
You will demonstrate:
- Extensive experience managing end‑to‑end ERP programs across the full project lifecycle
- Strong leadership capability, with experience coordinating cross‑functional teams
- Advanced skills in program planning, reporting, risk and issue management
- Confidence operating in governance‑heavy environments and engaging at senior executive level
- Experience working closely with system integrators and managing contractual performance
- The ability to proactively identify issues, manage dependencies, and drive outcomes
- Formal program or project management qualifications such as PRINCE2 or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)

Contract terms: 24 months from commencement date, plus 1x 12 month extensions
