About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Export Control Officer to support a major Federal program within a secure environment in Canberra.
In this role, you will ensure compliance with export control regulations including ITAR, EAR and dual-use controls while supporting engineering, technology and program teams operating within a complex defence environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage export permits and licensing activities
- Administer Technology Control Plans (TCPs)
- Monitor access controls and foreign national screening
- Conduct compliance audits and maintain audit-ready records
- Investigate compliance incidents and support disclosure reporting
- Deliver export control guidance and training across the business
- Support governance, risk management and regulatory compliance activities
About You
- 5+ years' experience in export controls, trade compliance or defence compliance
- Strong understanding of ITAR, EAR and strategic goods controls
- Experience managing controlled technical data and secure information environments
- Proven compliance auditing and records management capability
- Strong stakeholder engagement and training experience
- Must Current NV1 or NV2 clearance
