About the End Client
The end client is a major enterprise organisation undertaking uplift across its digital platforms, automation, and customer/operational systems. This role supports delivery of end-to-end web applications in a highly visible program environment where quality engineering and modern DevOps practices are key.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly capable Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications across the entire technology stack — from UI and APIs through to databases, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines. You’ll work in a collaborative Agile team, contributing to technical design discussions, solution build, and continuous improvement of engineering quality.
Key Responsibilities
1) Application Development
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications.
- Build reusable components and libraries for future use.
- Translate UI/UX designs into functional, intuitive user interfaces. 2) Back-End Engineering
- Develop RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Implement business logic, workflows, and data processing services.
- Ensure scalable, secure, robust server-side architecture.
- Design relational and/or NoSQL database schemas.
- Optimise queries for performance and reliability.
- Ensure data integrity and implement backup strategies.
- Deploy applications to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). [IBM-Wester...ack Dev-JD | Word]
- Build and automate CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Monitor application performance, logging, and alerting.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and QA teams.
Core Technical Skills
- Front-End: React, Angular, Vue.js (or similar), plus HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Back-End: Node.js, .NET Core, Java, Python, Go (or similar).
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis (or similar).
- APIs: REST, GraphQL, WebSockets.
- Cloud & DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP, Git, CI/CD pipelines.
- Testing: Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Selenium (or similar).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Comfortable working in Agile environments.
- Clear communication, teamwork, and an ownership mindset.
- Strong attention to detail and engineering quality.
- Experience with microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of security best practices (OWASP, authentication/authorisation).
- Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code tooling.
- Mobile development exposure (React Native, Flutter).
- Work on modern, cloud-enabled applications across the full stack.
- International consultancy environment with strong engineering standards and delivery maturity.
- Exposure to DevOps automation, CI/CD, and scalable platform delivery.
