About the client:
Our client is a major enterprise focused on delivering robust data management and governance solutions for large-scale banking projects. This role is pivotal in supporting data-driven initiatives and ensuring high standards of data quality and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements.
- Break down large, ambiguous problems into smaller, well-defined tasks or use cases.
- Create process flows, user stories, functional specifications, and other artifacts.
- Translate business needs into logical, structured, and actionable requirements.
- Work closely with developers, testers, and UX/UI teams to ensure accurate implementation.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and brainstorming sessions to uncover root causes
- Perform gap analysis, impact assessments, and data analysis as needed.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by preparing test cases and validating deliverables.
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong logical thinking and analytical skills — able to approach problems methodically.
- Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex ideas simply.
- Experience in writing clear, structured documentation (e.g., user stories, use cases, BRDs).
- Comfortable with process mapping tools (e.g., Griffy, Visio).
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to low-code platforms (e.g., Appian, Pega, Power Platform).
- Experience working with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of SQL or data analysis tools.
- Certifications like CBAP, CCBA, or Agile BA are a plus.
This is a contract role based in Sydney, with immediate start available. You’ll play a key role in delivering robust, secure, and innovative data solutions in a dynamic, high-impact banking environment.
