About the role:
The Functional Consultant – PRC/SCM Lead is responsible for leading the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA Procurement and Supply Chain (MM/SCM) capabilities for Australian government and enterprise clients. This role focuses on delivering high‑quality functional solutions, working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to ensure successful end-to-end project outcomes.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Be an Australian citizen with an active NV1 AGSVA clearance. Active Baseline will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead SAP S/4HANA Procurement and Supply Chain (MM/SCM) solution design, configuration, and deployment activities.
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather, validate, and document functional requirements.
- Translate business processes into SAP best-practice-based functional designs.
- Conduct system configuration for SAP MM, Procurement, Inventory Management, and related SCM components.
- Support integration design with finance, warehousing, logistics, Ariba, and other SAP/non-SAP systems
- Lead functional workshops, gap analysis, and solution walkthroughs with client teams.
- Prepare functional specifications for RICEFW objects and collaborate with technical teams on build and testing.
- Oversee and support testing cycles including SIT, UAT, defect triage, and cutover readiness.
- Provide post‑go‑live support and knowledge transfer to client teams.
- Ensure compliance with government or industry security, data, and quality standards.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong experience as a Functional Consultant specialising in SAP MM and Procurement within S/4HANA environments.
- Demonstrated delivery experience across source‑to‑pay, inventory management, materials planning, and supply chain processes.
- Experience working as a solution lead across medium to large SAP transformation projects.
- Solid understanding of S/4HANA best practices, Fiori apps, and modernised procurement processes.
- Experience producing high‑quality functional documentation, including solution designs and configuration documents.
- Ability to lead client workshops and articulate SAP concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong integration experience with Finance, Ariba, Warehouse Management, and Logistics Execution.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in government, defence, or regulated industry environments.
- Exposure to Ariba, Fieldglass, SAP Extended Warehouse Management, or SAP Analytics tools.
- Understanding of Agile delivery frameworks and modern SAP Activate methodologies.
