About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ICT Contract Manager to deliver complex procurement and contract management outcomes for high-value, multi-phase protective security uplift projects. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of contract administration—planning, sourcing, negotiation, execution, performance monitoring, and closure—while ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and internal policies.
You will operate with autonomy and accountability, providing technical leadership and strategic advice on procurement strategies. Building strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, and other government agencies will be essential to achieving secure and resilient outcomes.
The Successful Candidate
To excel in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management within a government context, including compliance with relevant legislation and frameworks.
- Strong organisational, administrative, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven capability in monitoring supplier performance and driving continuous improvement.
- Formal qualifications in procurement and contract management (highly desirable).

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus potential extensions
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered. An OSA(Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.
