About the role:
This key role is responsible for translating business requirements into secure, technical solutions that strictly adhere to architectural principles, information security standards, and Project Delivery Framework.
You will serve as an expert consultant to the business, guiding project definition and delivery, and collaborating closely with Enterprise Architects, project teams, and stakeholders. A core focus is on developing and documenting the comprehensive information security architecture, including Target Operating Models, Solution Architecture Outlines, and Definitions.

- Adherence to Project Delivery Framework in all aspects of project definition and delivery. Where uncertainty or gaps exist then adherence to the advice provided by the PMO.
- Provide expert advice when working closely with the business to translate requirements into technical outcomes which are aligned with architectural principles and strategy.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to develop and maintain a comprehensive information security architecture that aligns with goals and objectives.
- Analyse and critically evaluate information from multiple sources and drive architectural solution approaches in the light of competing stakeholder views and needs.
- Analyse and consolidates information to develop business cases to support the delivery of business objectives.
- Liaise, consult and negotiate with stakeholders and other program teams regarding requirements, progress, and evaluation of initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical specialists, service management stakeholders and relevant subject matter experts to map, document and establish business processes, define architectural requirements and design ensuring alignment with information security standards and policies
- Support the Project Manager in the creation of the Project Management deliverables.
- Document the existing Environments (as is)
- Undertake Market Research
- Evaluation of security product and tooling
- Ability to perform and document Option Analysis
- Develop the Concept of Operation
- Working with the Enterprise Architects to develop the Target Operating Model (To be)
- Working with the Enterprise Architects to develop the Solution Architecture Outline (Logical) Risk and Compliance Management
- Working with the Enterprise Architects to develop the Solution Architecture Definition (Physical)
- Identification and treatment of security risks
- Contribution to policy, process and configuration decisions
- Definition and contribution to design of reporting dashboards and BAU process flows
- Ability to elicit, document and analyse functional business requirement, deliver data mapping between source and target systems, analyse processes or workflows to identify areas for process optimization and efficiency enhancement
- Ability to write detailed documentation including requirements, use cases, and user stories
- Support the development of the Transition Plan
- Support the development of the Decommissioning Plan for the replaced in-house systems.
- Guide and assist other Solution Architects within the program to support the delivery of secure solutions via alignment of their projects with security reference architectures and roadmaps.
- Guide and mentor an aspiring Solution Architect currently operating within Information Security
- Actively support the Cyber Security Program Managers activities
- Act as a conduit for new ideas, best and emerging practice in solution development and policy and strategic integration into the application portfolio.
