IT Organisational Change Manager



The Role:

This role is responsible for leading and embedding change management practices across the organisation, ensuring successful adoption and realisation of business outcomes.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the change management capability across the organisation. This role is responsible for driving the successful adoption of change initiatives by embedding structured change management practices to our clients.

The role requires close engagement with program managers, delivery teams, business stakeholders, and executive sponsors to ensure that change impacts are understood, readiness is assessed, and adoption strategies are effectively implemented, contributing to the realisation of business benefits and the achievement of strategic transformation goals.


The successful candidate will:

•       Develop and implement change management strategies and plans

•       Document current and future state process flows

•       Support teams in integrating change management activities

•       Engage stakeholders and manage resistance

•       Measure and report on change adoption and effectiveness

 

Skills and Experience Required:  

•       Proven experience in designing and implementing change management strategies

•       Strong ability to build relationships, influence, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, technical teams, and end users

•       Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear messaging and facilitate workshops, briefings, and training sessions

•       Skilled in identifying change impacts, assessing organisational readiness, and developing mitigation strategies

•       Experience in developing and delivering training, communications, and support materials to drive user adoption

•       Ability to integrate change management activities into project and program delivery frameworks

•       Familiarity with tools and techniques to measure change effectiveness, adoption rates, and benefit realisation

Responsibilities

•       Design and implement fit-for-purpose change management strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with objectives and organisational culture

•       Identify, engage, and manage stakeholders across business units, ensuring their needs, concerns, and expectations are understood and addressed throughout the change lifecycle

•       Conduct change impact assessments and organisational readiness evaluations to inform planning and risk mitigation strategies

•       Develop and deliver targeted communication plans that clearly articulate the case for change, expected outcomes, and progress updates to various stakeholder groups

•       Collaborate with learning and development teams to design and deliver training programs that support user adoption and capability uplift

•       Provide hands-on support during implementation phases, including coaching, troubleshooting, and feedback collection to ensure smooth transitions

•       Establish metrics and feedback mechanisms to monitor change adoption, identify issues, and report on progress and outcomes to program leadership

•       Contribute to the development of organisational change capability by promoting best practices, and supporting continuous improvement

•       Identify and manage change-related risks and issues, escalating where necessary and ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place

•       Mentor staff through on the job training, knowledge sharing and job shadowing activities

 

Location and Contract Term: This role is based in Canberra, QLD, TAS and VIC.  6 month contract with 3 x 6-month extension option pending budget and delegate approval.


Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a Baseline security clearance
