About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of SAP HANA implementation and upgrade projects across large-scale enterprise environments. This is a long-term, multi-year contract offering exposure to cutting-edge technology and the chance to work with experienced project leaders and multidisciplinary teams on internationally significant projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of SAP HANA implementation or upgrade projects.
- Maintain project schedules, task lists, RAID logs, resource plans, and status reports.
- Assist in coordinating workshops, meetings, and stakeholder communications.
- Track progress against the project plan and escalate delays or issues to the senior project manager.
- Support financial tracking activities including time reporting, purchase order updates, and basic budget oversight.
- Assist with change request documentation and support established change control processes.
- Manage project documentation repositories and ensure compliance with organisational and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with technical teams to gather updates on deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
- Support cutover planning, testing coordination, and deployment readiness activities.
- Contribute to quality assurance tasks by ensuring processes and templates align with delivery standards.
- Experience in coordinating or supporting IT or ERP projects, preferably SAP.
- Understanding of project management principles such as scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to track tasks, maintain documentation, and communicate clearly with technical and business teams.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of SAP HANA environments or willingness to learn.
- Ability to work with common project management tools such as Excel, SharePoint, and scheduling or reporting tools.
- Ability to work under guidance while progressively building independent delivery capability.
- Australian Citizenship and AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance required; NV1 Clearance preferred.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, IT, or project management.
- Project management certification or study such as PRINCE2 Foundation or PMP CAPM is desirable.
- Long-term, multi-year contract with extension potential.
- Work on internationally significant SAP transformation projects.
- Hybrid working arrangements across Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, and Ballarat.
