Whizdom Recruitment is seeking an experienced EMR Laboratory Information System (LIS) Implementation Lead to support a major digital health transformation program delivering statewide impact. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in the implementation of an Electronic Medical Record system, with a strong focus on Laboratory Information Systems and pathology services. You will work alongside senior stakeholders, clinical teams, and technical specialists to drive successful system adoption and transformation outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of the LIS module within a large-scale EMR program
- Manage integration of laboratory systems and analysers with the EMR environment
- Develop and execute implementation plans aligned with broader program delivery
- Drive stakeholder engagement across clinical, technical, and operational teams
- Support change management, communications, and training initiatives
- Conduct impact assessments and contribute to business readiness planning
- Work collaboratively with pathology services to support statewide rollout
- Identify risks, barriers, and opportunities to ensure successful adoption
- Proven experience leading LIS implementations within healthcare environments
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, systems, and analyser integrations
- Experience with HL7 integration and EMR environments
- Demonstrated delivery of complex healthcare IT projects at scale
- Background in pathology or laboratory services, ideally with hands-on experience
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capability
- Ability to work in fast-paced, complex environments with evolving priorities
- Initial 3-month contract with potential for extension
- Role based in Hobart
