About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Data Administrator / Data Manager to manage and optimise complex database environments. This role involves planning, integrating, and sustaining a range of database technologies under broad direction, while driving automation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer Oracle and MongoDB databases, including PL/SQL scripting and Linux-based automation.
- Implement Data Guard configurations, backup/restore processes, and proactive monitoring.
- Ensure database security and compliance with policies.
- Troubleshoot issues, optimise performance, and identify opportunities for efficiency.
- Desirable experience with Oracle APEX, Golden Gate, MongoDB Ops Manager, and programming in Java, Python, or Perl.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus potential extensions
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered. An OSA(Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.
