About the Role The Linux & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will support, monitor and maintain Linux and Microsoft Azure-based environments. Working as part of the Operations team, you will provide day-to-day support across cloud infrastructure, Linux servers, monitoring platforms and business-critical applications.
Contract Term
- 12-month contract
- Applicants must hold a current AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
Major Responsibilities
- Support and maintain Linux server environments.
- Perform system patching, upgrades and routine maintenance.
- Monitor system health and performance using Grafana and other monitoring tools.
- Investigate and resolve system issues and incidents.
- Support Azure infrastructure and cloud services.
- Assist with application deployments and upgrades.
- Maintain technical documentation, operating procedures and support materials.
- Support security, compliance and operational assurance activities.
- Between one and three years of experience in Linux administration, infrastructure support or cloud operations.
- Experience supporting Linux operating systems.
- Understanding of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Experience using monitoring tools such as Grafana.
- Understanding of infrastructure and networking fundamentals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within an IT operations or service delivery environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Relevant IT qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
- Basic scripting experience using Bash or PowerShell.
- Exposure to Azure administration.
- Knowledge of Prometheus, Azure Monitor or similar monitoring tools.
- Experience with automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with Grafana and Red Hat Satellite.
- Relevant technical certifications.
