The M365 (SharePoint) specialist will provide technical guidance, support to staff, and conduct complex technical work packages, will also be required to answer queries from Department staff members, including, SharePoint (On premises and Online), Custom .NET systems and Microsoft Office 365/Azure.
Key Tasks/Duties:
- Solution architecture: Analyse business requirements and design scalable SharePoint/Microsoft 365 solutions, including information architecture, sites, libraries, lists, metadata, permissions, and integrations.
- SharePoint administration: Configure and support SharePoint Online environments, site collections, permissions, sharing controls, search, and lifecycle processes.
- Governance & security: Establish governance standards covering access, information management, compliance, environment management, and operational controls. Microsoft similarly frames governance around secure, compliant and controlled platform usage.
- Migration: Plan and lead migrations from legacy SharePoint, file shares, or other document-management platforms to SharePoint Online.
- Power Platform integration: Design solutions combining SharePoint with Power Apps and Power Automate, while considering security, environments, data policies, and governance.
- Automation & development: Develop or oversee workflows, forms, APIs, scripts, SPFx/custom solutions, and integrations where appropriate.
- Requirements & consulting: Run workshops, gather requirements, translate business problems into technical solutions, and advise stakeholders on best practices.
- Technical leadership: Review designs, establish standards, troubleshoot complex issues, mentor junior consultants/developers, and provide technical direction.
- Adoption & training: Prepare documentation, training materials, operating procedures, and guidance to improve user adoption.
- Support & optimisation: Investigate production issues, improve performance/usability, monitor solutions, and recommend continuous improvements.
Location and Contract Term: This role is based in the ACT . Contract till 30 April 2026
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a NV1 security clearance.
