An opportunity exists for a Mainframe Systems Admin Support with a strong customer focus and rich technical expertise in mainframe systems administration in a z15 z/OS environment. Specifically, you should have experience in some of the following -
- Operating System – z/OS
- DB/Language - Adabas/Natural
- Transaction processor – TSO, NIM
- Monitoring, Alerting, Printing & Operational Support – XYMON, MXG, VPS/NIMSPL
- Middleware – MQ, Datastream, RPC, Corba
- Scheduler/Batch processor – CA-11/Jobtrac
- Job Language - JCL
- Security – RACF, Natural security
- Source Code Management – N20
- Storage/Backup Management – Hitachi VPS5100, CA-1 (Tape Management)
- Software maintenance (patching/upgrading software) in a mainframe environment, SMP/E skills (mainframe software management).
- 24X7 support, shift work and after-hours support required
- Operational and technical support to Application support and management.
- Master console operation support.
- Problem ticket in-depth analysis, trouble-shooting, problem resolution
- Operational monitoring, alerting and tuning
- Proactively providing innovative solutions in accordance with modern technologies
- Build and maintain relationships with and advise various levels of stakeholders.
