As an application developer, you will write and maintain code as per design, API development and implement data migration, working closely with your team and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
You will participate in code reviews, design software solutions, implement new features, and optimise performance. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining documentation, providing expert advice, troubleshooting and fixing bugs, ensuring security, testing software, deploying applications, providing technical support, participating in agile processes, mentoring others, and completing other tasks as set by your scrum master or team leader.
You will be working on medium to large projects using emerging technologies as detailed below. This will involve transforming existing technology stacks and capabilities to meet expected outcomes for strategic government initiatives.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Has 5+ years demonstrated experience as a .Net and C# application developer
- Has demonstrated experience with most of the following technologies: AWS Lambda, API Development, AWS DMS, AWS SCT, API Gateway and AzureDevOps.
- Has knowledge or experience with some of the following technologies: AWS IaaS, AWS Fargate, AWS Kinesis, AWS CloudWatch, Containerisation, and custom rules engines.
- Has knowledge and experience with database development and migration: Mongo DB and Aurora are highly desirable with Aurora preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as AWS CloudFormation.
- It’s desirable to have Single Page Application (SPA) web development experience using Angular framework.
Location and Contract Term: This role can be based in Brisbane CBD, Melbourne CBD and Wollongong . 12 Contract with 1 x 12 - month contract extension options pending budget and delegate approval.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a Baseline security clearance (NV1 preferred)
