Transformers are responsible for supporting and developing ReSTful services for the Department. They also manage a range of midrange services that support the Departments online portal and other areas.
About the Role
As a Midrange Application Developer, you will be an integral part of a high-performing team in an Agile Release Train, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of innovative systems.

- Collaborate within cross-functional Agile teams to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and secure IT applications.
- Deliver high-quality software solutions that align with business objectives and user needs.
- Provide technical support and implement small to medium-scale change initiatives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices, tools, and processes.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure quality and alignment with Agile principles.
- Share knowledge and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

- MSK (Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka)
- Fargate
- Lambda
- Kinesis
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
Location and Contract Term: This role can be based in Canberra and Brisbane . 12 month contract with 2 x 12- month contract extension options pending budget and delegate approval.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a NV1 security clearance.
