The Department is seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Solution Architect. As part of a motivated multi-disciplinary team, you will have the privilege of working in a highly supportive environment with the potential to impact millions in Australia.
The successful candidate is required, but not limited to:
- Own and lead the end-to-end solution architecture for D365 application projects
- Provide strategic input to enterprise architecture and technology investment direction
- Define and document the architecture and solution design in line with Departmental practices
- Ensure solution design is in alignment with Microsoft Azure ecosystem, D365 architectural standards, design principles, configuration-over-customisation guardrails, DevOps and security principles
- Provide technical leadership to project delivery teams and contribute to multi-disciplinary agile ways of working
- Lead design workshops, architecture reviews and act as the accountable authority for technical design and solution integrity
- Oversee and guide the development of applications/services on the D365 platform including data, security and compliance, data migration and integration
- Evaluate and recommend new features, functions, tools and practices to enhance solution architecture
- Design and plan integrations between Dynamics and enterprise platforms or third party solutions
- Provide advice on technical issues and play an active role in mitigating technology risks
- Work with the enterprise architecture team to leverage (where applicable):
- Enterprise architecture principles, standards and guidelines
- Enterprise architecture frameworks, patterns and technologies
- Governance arrangements around design
- Participate in architecture group forums to align D365 projects with the broader frameworks and practices within the division.
Skills and Experience Required:
- In-depth knowledge, expertise and demonstrated experience in delivering the architecture and design for new and existing applications within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform.
- Extensive experience providing architectural leadership and guidance throughout project delivery and acting as the technical lead for the D365 development team.
- Proven ability to act as the technical authority and achieve strategic balance between technical optimisation and business considerations to provide practical, scalable and robust solution designs adhering to architectural principles.
- Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail, organise competing priorities, progress multiple deliverables in parallel and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Location and Contract Term: This role is based in ACT, VIC or NSW. 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options pending budget and delegate approval.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a baseline security clearance
