The Software Development Section has a requirement for a Microsoft Dynamics Developer to assist with the sustainment and enhancement of a SmartIQ/Microsoft Dynamics solution. This long-standing application is in sustainment and requires support work as level 2/3 support issues arise.

The Business Solutions Branch within Information Management and Technology Division, is seeking the services of an enthusiastic and proactive candidate with 3+ years of experience of Microsoft Dynamics development – preferably with some experience in on-prem Dynamics and an APS environment. The role requires a Microsoft Dynamics Developer to, as part of a team, provide quality development and sustainment services across a highly complex technical ICT system that utilises CRM and SmartIQ technologies.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Collaborate within Agile Teams: Work closely as part of an agile project team, demonstrating flexibility to function as a multidisciplinary team member.
- Assist in Dynamics Development: Support and assist in Microsoft Dynamics development activities, focusing on providing quality services to clients.
- Multi-tasking and Technology Proficiency: Handle multiple tasks efficiently and be familiar with a range of technologies. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and business line areas as required.
- Knowledge Sharing: Actively participate in knowledge sharing with other developers to aid in succession planning, including documenting procedures and best practices.
- Complex and Time-sensitive Work: Undertake work that is complex or time-sensitive, operating under limited direction with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability.
- Experience: 3+ years experience in Microsoft Dynamics development, including customization and configuration.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with related technologies such as .NET, C#, JavaScript, and SQL Server.
- Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile frameworks, including Scrum or Kanban.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Good problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex and time-sensitive tasks.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, management, and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge Sharing: Commitment to knowledge sharing and documentation to support team development. • Autonomy and Accountability: Ability to operate under limited direction, demonstrating reasonable autonomy and accountability in delivering high-quality solutions. • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Flexibility to work as a multidisciplinary team member, contributing to various aspects of the project as needed.
- Certification: Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications, such as MB-200 (Microsoft Power Platform + Dynamics 365 Core) or MB-400 (Microsoft Power Apps + Dynamics 365 Developer).
- Experience with Power Platform: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
Security Required: NV1 Security Clearance required
Location - Canberra - This is an on-site Canberra based role which requires 5 days in office.
