About the Role
We are seeking experienced .NET Software Engineers to support the delivery of multiple ICT projects across a large enterprise environment. In this role, you will design, build and maintain Azure‑based web APIs and customer‑facing portal applications, working closely with cross‑functional agile teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining secure Azure‑based web APIs and portal applications using .NET and ASP.NET
- Integrating multiple system components to provide seamless end‑to‑end user experiences
- Applying secure coding practices aligned with government security standards
- Providing technical advice and contributing to solution and architecture discussions
- Conducting peer code and infrastructure reviews
- Creating and maintaining technical and release documentation
- Collaborating effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Supporting agile delivery through teamwork, mentorship, and continuous improvement
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical capability, cloud experience, and a collaborative mindset.
You will demonstrate:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering secure, web‑based business solutions
- Strong experience developing web APIs using .NET / .NET Core, ASP.NET, and Azure API Management
- Front‑end development experience with Angular or React
- Solid Azure cloud experience, including services such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Service Bus, API Manager, and DevOps pipelines (CI/CD)
- Experience integrating custom applications with third‑party systems (e.g. Dynamics 365)
- Knowledge of secure development aligned with the Australian Government ISM
- Experience working in Agile, multidisciplinary teams
- DevOps and Agile delivery models
- Automated testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, Selenium, Playwright.Net, Jest)
- Experience with SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, and high‑volume data environments
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in software development or design

Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus 2x 12 month extensions at our clients discretion.
Experience Level: Senior – APS6 Equivalent
Security Requirements: Must be an Australian Citizens with an active Baseline or higher security clearance.
