About the role

In this role you will be responsible for the production and updating of nautical charts to allow for safe navigation in Australian Waters.

Role Responsibilities

  • Perform straightforward maritime geospatial chart quality assurance and production tasks under general direction from supervisor, making decisions within defined parameters.
  • Contribute new ideas and identify opportunities to improve the work of the team.
  • Monitor task progress against performance expectation to ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Hydrography, Geospatial Science / GIS, Cartography, Surveying, or Marine Science highly desirable
  • Understanding of maritime geospatial data standards
It is expected that the successful candidate will attend the office (AHO) in Wollongong to fulfil this role. It is essential for the Quality Assurance Contractor to be able to be face to face to provide feedback and participate in charting decisions from within the office.

Security Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current Baseline Security Clearance.
