About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, build, and support a secure standalone network within a high-security program. Working closely with Project Managers and Solution Architects, you will play a key role in delivering network solutions from concept through to production in an Agile environment.
This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone who enjoys working across design, implementation, and support of complex network environments.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, build, configure, and maintain secure network infrastructure
- Support network operations, including troubleshooting and maintenance
- Lead network design, build, testing, and configuration activities
- Develop detailed designs, schematics, and build instructions
- Work across data centre technologies including network, compute, storage, and services
- Contribute to Agile delivery practices including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Maintain accurate documentation and update delivery tools such as Jira
- Apply and uphold security best practices across all network environments
- 5–10 years’ experience in network engineering, ideally within Defence or secure environments
- Strong experience with:
- Cisco enterprise networking (LAN/WAN/Data Centre)
- Data centre architecture (network, compute, storage, services)
- Network security design and micro-segmentation
- Software Defined Networking (SDN)
- Experience with Cisco and/or Juniper technologies
- Proven ability to develop detailed designs and build instructions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
- VMware (vSphere / Cloud Foundation), NSX-T
- Cisco ACI
- JUNOS, DMVPN
- Disaster recovery and active-active data centres
- ITIL frameworks and firewall configuration
- Work on complex, high-impact secure government systems
- Exposure to modern networking technologies and architectures
- Collaborative Agile delivery environment

- Must hold a current NV2 security clearance
