About the role:
The Network Test Assurance Engineer supports the validation, testing, and quality assurance of network systems and services. This role ensures network performance, security, and reliability through structured testing processes, including support for firewall implementations and data centre (DC) migration initiatives. It is an entry-level position suited for candidates starting their careers in telecommunications or enterprise networking and we require 2 consultants to fill this requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for network solutions
- Perform functional, integration, performance, and security testing of network systems (LAN, WAN, cloud, and DC environments)
- Support network validation activities for new deployments, upgrades, and patches
- Participate in firewall testing and validation, including:
- Rule-set verification (ACLs, NAT policies)
- Connectivity and access testing across security zones
- Basic security compliance checks
- Assist with data centre (DC) migration testing, including:
- Pre- and post-migration validation of network services
- Traffic flow verification and application connectivity testing
- Supporting cutover testing and rollback validation
- Monitor network performance and identify issues through logs and testing tools
- Document test results, defects, and observations clearly and accurately
- Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot network, firewall, and migration-related issues
- Validate compliance with SLAs, security standards, and change management processes
- Support test automation initiatives using scripting tools (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies
Mandatory Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in:

- Telecommunications Engineering
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- or a related field
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as:
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Routing and switching fundamentals
- Foundational awareness of:
- Firewall concepts (zones, policies, NAT)
- Data centre networking (VLANs, load balancing basics)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with firewall platforms (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower)
- Exposure to data centre environments and migration activities
- Knowledge of networking tools such as:
- Wireshark
- iPerf
- Ping, Traceroute
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM)
- Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Understanding of telecom or enterprise technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, cloud networking, 4G/5G)
- Awareness of CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks
