About the End Client

The end client is a large enterprise organisation requiring reliable onsite desktop and infrastructure support across key operational locations. This role supports end users directly, ensuring hardware, applications, and workplace technologies remain secure, available, and fit for purpose.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced IT Onsite Support Engineer (Level 2/3) to provide hands‑on desktop and infrastructure support within a customer‑facing environment.

You will act as a key escalation point for the onsite support team, resolving complex hardware and application issues while delivering a professional, approachable support experience to end users.

This is a fully onsite role, requiring regular attendance at Perth CBD and Jandakot customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2/3 onsite desktop support for hardware, software, and application issues.
  • Act as an escalation point for the onsite support team, handling more complex incidents.
  • Deliver clear, friendly, and professional communication across phone, email, and face‑to‑face interactions.
  • Support and troubleshoot Windows desktop and server environments.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including:
    • Office 365
    • Exchange Online
    • SharePoint
    • Intune
    • Defender
    • MFA (Okta)
  • Manage Active Directory user accounts, groups, and GPOs.
  • Support Windows desktops in AD and Azure environments.
  • Perform batch and PowerShell scripting for task automation.
  • Use service management tools such as ServiceNow to manage incidents and requests.
  • Administer and manage Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM / MEMCM).
  • Perform OS and application patching using SCCM, WSUS, and RMM tools.
  • Support security vulnerability remediation, working closely with security teams.
  • Support Windows Server, Remote Desktop Services, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience providing Level 2 or Level 3 desktop support in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Windows 11
    • Windows Server operating systems
    • Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • Experience with Active Directory and endpoint management tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer‑service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite support role.
Desirable Experience

  • Current Microsoft certifications(viewed favourably but not mandatory).
  • Experience in managed services or customer‑facing enterprise support environments.
