Our client is a leading professional services and consulting firm, delivering strategy, technology, systems integration, and operations support across industries including Government, Financial Services, and Utilities.
They are seeking an experienced OpenShift Specialist to join a high-performing team delivering enterprise-grade cloud and container platform solutions for one of their clients. This is a contract opportunity for a hands-on professional with strong experience across OpenShift, AWS, and infrastructure automation.
About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing Red Hat OpenShift environments within enterprise-scale infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and security, while driving automation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clusters in enterprise environments
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Support AWS and OpenShift platforms, including troubleshooting, tuning, and ongoing operations
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and containerized application workflows
- Collaborate with development, cloud, and operations teams to deliver reliable and scalable services
- Provide technical guidance and best practice recommendations across OpenShift, Terraform, and AWS
- Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
- Manage upgrades, patching, and lifecycle activities for OpenShift clusters
- Implement and support monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift(installation, configuration, and support)
- Proven experience using Terraform for infrastructure automation
- Solid experience working within AWS cloud environments
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals
- Experience with container technologies(e.g., Docker) and CI/CD tools
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and platform issues
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate and provide technical guidance
- Red Hat certifications (e.g., RHCE, OpenShift certifications)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, or CloudWatch
- Understanding of security and compliance within containerized environments
- Work on enterprise-scale cloud and container platforms
- Exposure to modern DevOps and automation practices
- Collaborative and high-impact technical environment
