Role Overview
The Package Specialist-Microsoft Applications is a versatile professional with expertise in various Microsoft Dynamics applications and their respective modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, document, and validate business and functional requirements for Microsoft Dynamics solutions across Dynamics NAV, Business Central, and Dynamics 365 platforms.
- Participate in solution design workshops and provide recommendations aligned to business objectives and best practice Dynamics architecture.
- Configure, customise, and support Microsoft Dynamics applications, including Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, and Project Service Automation) and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Develop and maintain integrations using Dynamics business objects, integration frameworks, Microsoft SQL Server, and the Visual Studio .NET environment.
- Perform system configuration, data migration support, acceptance testing, defect management, and production deployment activities.
- Deliver end-user training, workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions to ensure successful adoption of Dynamics solutions.
- Conduct business process analysis and map client requirements to system functionality and technical solutions.
- Support the selection, implementation, configuration, testing, and ongoing optimisation of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations modules.
- Plan and coordinate master data preparation activities to support successful project delivery and system implementations.
- Perform application upgrade assessments and provide recommendations for enhancement, optimisation, and future-state architecture.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions and support decision-making throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with business users, clients, and development teams.
- Create and maintain functional specifications, design documentation, test plans, and user guides.
- Utilise reporting and analytics technologies such as Power BI, SSIS, and SSAS to support business intelligence and data integration requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that improve business processes and operational efficiency.
- Provide ongoing application support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement recommendations across the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (2009-2017), Microsoft Business Central, and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Expertise across Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications including Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, and Project Service Automation.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementation and support.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio .NET, and Dynamics integration frameworks.
- Strong business analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication and client-facing consulting capabilities.
- Experience with Power BI, SSIS, and SSAS highly regarded.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders in complex enterprise environments.
